Visitors from near and far sailed into Boston’s waterfront along with the tall ships over the weekend, beginning to deliver on tens of millions of projected economic impact from the Sail Boston 2026 event.
“We are in the midst of the Tall Ships’ visit to our harbor – the largest event of the busiest summer in Boston’s history – and all indications suggest that Sail Boston will be an economic grand slam for our city and state,” said Sail Boston Executive Director Dusty Rhodes.
This summer’s Sail Boston event, with programming from Saturday continuing through Thursday, was projected to bring in around over three million visitors, according to early Meet Boston projections.
