The Financial Times reported Tuesday that Woonsocket-based CVS is considering a plan to break up by separating its pharmacy chain from its insurance business.
The Financial Times cited people familiar with the matter.
The discussions are said to be in the very early stages.
The split would reverse CVS’s effort to build an integrated health care business.
