Those relying on Railroad Avenue as part of their daily drive will need to take detours for the last few days of March as the Port of Pasco works toward a critical milestone for its Reimann Industrial Center.
The port will close the stretch of Railroad Avenue between Darigold and Granite Construction from March 27-30 to build a signalized railroad crossing to serve the industrial center north of Pasco, according to a release. The port said the closure is necessary to ensure a safe construction zone.
No through traffic will be allowed, though local access will be possible. Designated alternate routes for through traffic will involve using Highway 395 and Kartchner Street.
The project will expand BNSF rail service to Reimann, part of the 600-acre industrial park’s buildout for future tenants.
