New mobile classroom will bring financial literacy lessons to Triad students
GREENSBORO, N.C. —
It’s no secret that the cost of living is rising, and household budgets are getting tighter.
Now, Truliant Federal Credit Union and Toyota are teaming up to help Triad students learn how to navigate those financial challenges — and plan for their futures.
The organizations donated $200,000 and a brand-new truck to Junior Achievement of the Triad to support its Financial Park Mobile Unit.
The truck will pull a mobile classroom to schools across the Triad, giving students a hands-on opportunity to learn about money, careers and financial decision-making.
“Working with the youth and then with this kind of unique cause… being able to teach the financial literacy is just kind of a special thing,” said Don Stewart.
