PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WJAR) — A fire took place in Norton Mass. last night.
The fire took place in the basement of Mike & Lenny’s Pizza which had just opened its doors just three days ago.

“The Norton Fire Department quickly extinguished a basement fire at an Olympia Street pizza parlor on Saturday evening.
The fire alarm system activated at a local pizza restaurant at 7:39 p.m., Saturday, Oct. 10,” Chief Shawn Simmons reported.
Mutual aid from Mansfield and Attleboro Fire Departments were able to respond to the scene.
Within 20 minutes the fire was under control, and the building was being ventilated due to the fire beginning in the windowless basement.
Fire crews remained on scene to make sure the building was safe.
The business was operating at the time of the fire and had to close for the rest of the night and for the coming days.
There were no injuries…
