Construction equipment maker
Caterpillar Inc. plans to invest about $1 billion in North Carolina to expand
manufacturing in Sanford, the company said Wednesday.
The investment includes plans
for a new manufacturing facility designed to increase production of compact
track loaders and telehandlers, the company said.
