This Independence Day holiday, we can not only celebrate our freedom from England and tyranny, but the US lack of dependence on foreign oil, which helps make gasoline relatively cheap.
The price of gasoline has been up and down lately, but one economist says our economy has been very resilient in the face of the Israel-Iran skirmish, up and down oil prices, contentious political campaigns and political divisions.
Perryman Group president and economist Ray Perryman says there are a few concerns in the American economy, though.
“Income is down to some extent, consumer spending is down, not enough to be alarmed about, just enough to keep our eyes on it.”
