Jackson Crossing has a new smoothie business that’s a real sister act
It started as a love of making smoothies at home, but Sisters Smoothies has transformed into a fully functioning family business inside Jackson Crossing.
The Mahoney family, led by the daughters of Jackson Mayor Daniel Mahoney and his wife, Semaj, has been blending smoothies as a business since 2020.
The Mahoney sisters, Calvena, 14; Sophia, 12; Olivia, 10; Cecilia, 9; and Ila, 6, all had a dream of starting a business but debated on what sell. Choices included popsicles, lemonade or even candy, but they finally landed on smoothies as their niche, Calvena said.
