Elliot Lee, a key figure in Wrexham’s three consecutive promotions, has joined Doncaster Rovers on loan for the rest of the season.
The 31-year-old heads to the League One club having found opportunities hard to come by this season at the SToK Cae Ras, his three appearances having all come in the Carabao Cup.
Lee’s departure comes during a busy day of activity for Phil Parkinson, who is keen to make additions before the 7pm deadline.
Barnsley’s Davis Keillor-Dunn and Bailey Cadamarteri, the Sheffield Wednesday forward, are both on Wrexham’s radar following the addition of Bristol City defender Zak Vyner on Sunday night.
With one eye on the EFL stipulation that 25-man squads must be named once the window closes, the Wrexham manager was keen to get players out in January before making the necessary additions.
