NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) — A local man is making Middle Tennessee proud. Nashville tech entrepreneur, Aabesh De, reeled in a big investment on ABC’s Shark Tank.
De showed News 2 his invention Flora and how he’s giving back to Music City. He admits that he was not born with a green thumb.
“I was not before. Not at all,” said De. “I was the exact opposite. I’ll tell ya, I was a serial plant killer.”

What he lacked in gardening skills, De made up for in curiosity. A self-described ‘geek at heart’ since childhood, with an interest in DIY electronics and a passion for being a better gardener, De got to tinkering a few years ago.
