The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration announced Friday that electric vehicle giant, Tesla (NASDAQ:) is recalling 120,423 vehicles in the U.S. over the risk of cabin doors being unlocked during a crash.
The NHTSA confirmed that the electric automaker has issued an over-the-air (OTA) software update aimed at resolving the problem.
The recall affects 2021-2023 Model S and Model X vehicles due to their failure to meet specific federal safety standards concerning side-impact protection.
Tesla initiated its largest-ever recall in the U.S. last week, affecting over 2 million vehicles, which essentially encompasses nearly all of its vehicles currently on American roads.
