WANA (Aug 27) – Hossein Taeb, head of Iran’s Basij Organization, said that any attempt to disrupt Iran’s economy could have repercussions for the U.S. economy, Israel and the global economy.
Taeb said that Iran is now in a “neither war nor peace” situation following the 12-day war, arguing that pressure on the country could continue through economic, security and cognitive warfare after the end of the military conflict.
He said the objective of such pressure is to disrupt production, trade and businesses, stressing that merchants, producers and traders have an important role to play in keeping Iran’s economy functioning.
