DAVISON, Mich. (WNEM) — A traffic shift is coming soon for Genesee County. Eastbound I-69 traffic will be shifted to the westbound lanes of I-69 from Morrish Road to Bristol Road for construction.
The Michigan Department of Transportation (MDOT) is investing $33.5 million to improve and repair 15 structures on I-69 between I-75 and Morrish Road in Genesee County, as well as two additional structures near Sheridan Road in Shiawassee County. MDOT will begin applying traffic adjustments Monday, March 30. MDOT’s plans for construction will include shallow and deep overlays, partial deck replacements, steel repairs, guardrails and approach work.
Bridge work between Morrish Road and Bristol Road will be completed in two phases. Bridges on the eastbound side will be worked on from March through July. Bridges on the westbound side will be addressed from August through November. Traffic…
