If you feel like the push for holiday sales seems to come earlier each year, you are not alone. Businesses large and small are gearing up to try and capture the holiday dollar.
Some like Daily’s Home Furniture and It’s a Wonderful Life gift shop are among those that use the first weekend in November to get the season going.
“We get a jumpstart on the holidays. We kind of have too because of the big box stores. They are pushing smaller retailers to begin their sales and promotions earlier,” said It’s a Wonderful Life owner Susie Schmitt. “This is our busiest time of the year, so we try to make our displays extra special so that people want to come in and it is the most important time of the year for us.”
