KILLINGTON, Vt. (ABC22/FOX44) – The largest ski area in the eastern U.S. has announced a second year of upgrades with an aim to keep the entire mountain accessible even during winter storms.
The Killington Resort will use the additional $22 million in investments to upgrade one of the ski lifts and a popular Jamaican restaurant on the mountain, along with covering maintenance costs and smaller repairs around the resort.

“We’ve been thrilled at the level of investment from our independent ownership group over the past year,” says Mike Solimano, president and CEO of Killington Resort.
A representative for the resort said that the Snowdon Triple lift, built all the way back in 1973, will be replaced with a new four-person lift. Meanwhile, the Jerk Jamaican Mountain Grill will expand its seating from 80 to 260 people.
