Scottish cloud computing firm Iomart has confirmed that it is in exclusive talks over the possible acquisition of IT management and consultancy businesss Kookaburra Topco based in Marlow, Buckinghamshire.
Kookaburra is the holding company of Atech Support, a Microsoft solutions partner for mid-sized enterprises.
It is one of a small number of UK companies able to resell, deliver and support Microsoft 365, Azure and Security products.
It almost doubled turnover to £28.4m in the year to the end of December 2023 from £14.5m in the previous 12 months. However, its loss before tax rose to £2.98m from £1.49m.
Glasgow-based Iomart said the deal, if it goes ahead, would be financed from the company’s existing cash resources and banking facilities.
