Introduction To The iShares MSCI Peru and Global Exposure ETF
The iShares MSCI Peru and Global Exposure ETF (EPU) by BlackRock Fund Advisors and marketed under their ‘iShares’ brand of ETFs has been in existence since September 2009 (however, from 2009 until 2023, it was known as just the iShares MSCI Peru ETF). Since its listing date, EPU, which is priced at an expense ratio of 0.59%, has managed to accumulate total AUM of over $0.5 billion. This ETF makes distributions to its holders twice a year, and those distributions annualize to a figure of 1.36% at the current ETF price.
What Does EPU Do?
EPU tracks the MSCI All Peru Capped Index (MAPCI), which seeks to cover a minimum of at least 25 stocks from 20 different issuers. Peru doesn’t have a very expansive stock market (more so when certain minimum liquidity thresholds are called…
