A company that manufactures energy storage technology is coming to Webster.
Ashlawn Energy says it has leased a 10,000 square foot space on Xerox Webster Campus. The company says this will bring 20 new jobs to the area.
Ashlawn Energy is the developer and manufacturer of VanCharg Vanadium Flow Batteries. The technology allows the batteries to charge from electrical sources like wind, solar or the electrical grid, and discharge power as needed to support a building’s energy load. The company claims its battery system stores enough electricity to provide back-up power to hundreds of homes while reducing costs and carbon emissions.
