The Mesa Chamber of Commerce and city police and fire organizations have endorsed candidates running in the July 30 Primary Election for mayor, the city council and county supervisor.
The business-advocacy group endorsed former mayor Scott Smith for mayor, Richard Adams for the Council District 1 seat, incumbent Julie Spilsbury for District 2 and incumbent Vice Mayor Francisco Heredia for District 3.
The Chamber also weighed in on the two Maricopa County Board of Supervisors seats that represent Mesa, endorsing incumbents Jack Sellers for District 1 and Thomas Galvin for District 2.
“Mesa needs elected officials who will support and focus on creating a strong business environment and talented workforce,” the Chamber said in its announcement.
