LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) — A Shake Shack and another Wawa gas station and convenience store are in the works in southern Indiana.
The Jeffersonville Drainage Board approved plans for the two businesses during a meeting Tuesday evening.
The Shake Shack would be the first location in southern Indiana and the first in the Louisville area, with the closest locations currently in Indianapolis and Lexington.
It’s planned for the Jeffersonville Town Center development off Veterans Parkway, near Academy Sports and Outdoors. The plans also call for a drive-thru.
A spokesperson for the developer of the Shake Shack said during Tuesday’s board meeting that much of the infrastructure is already in place.
