A federal court has approved a $700 million settlement in an antitrust lawsuit that challenged Google’s control over app distribution and in-app payments for Android devices, according to a release. The bipartisan lawsuit by multiple attorneys general alleged Google illegally dominated Android app distribution and charged consumers up to 30% per transaction.
