COLUMBUS, Ga. (WTVM) – A 223-Million-dollar investment coming to the fountain city is expected to create jobs for over 500 people. This announcement was made earlier today during A ‘Choose Columbus’ economic development event.
Mayor Skip Henderson says these types of high paying jobs are needed in Columbus. Jobs that will allow workers to do more than just scrape by financially.
“We would love to announce that JS Link of America has chosen Columbus to be the new red birth prominent magnet manufacturer in our community.” says chair of the development authority Selvin Hollingsworth
JS Link specializes in rare-earth permanent magnet technology and biotechnology. They will make magnets that will be used for hybrid vehicles, cell phones, and refrigerators. The company plans on investing 223 million dollars in a manufacturing facility in Columbus. The company will also create 520 jobs…
