The hryvnia faces fresh pressure as both major foreign currencies climb, with the euro posting the sharper daily increase.
The National Bank of Ukraine raised the official exchange rates for the US dollar and euro for September 22. The US currency rose by 3 kopecks, while the euro increased by 17 kopecks.
This is evidenced by the data on the website of the National Bank of Ukraine.
The official exchange rates set by the NBU for Tuesday, September 22, are:
US$1 – UAH 44.70. The previous day, the rate was UAH 44.67.
€1 – UAH 51.36. On September 21, the European currency was worth UAH 51.19.
Thus, both major foreign currencies continued to rise against the hryvnia at the National Bank’s official exchange rate.
