CMA CGM has deployed more than 55 artificial intelligence projects and identified over 200 AI use cases across its global operations, underscoring the growing role of the technology in shipping, logistics, and customer service.
The group has introduced MAIA as its internal AI assistant, alongside Microsoft Copilot, to help employees generate and search content, analyse documents, automate administrative tasks, and support operational, technical and commercial decision-making.
Within its maritime operations, CMA CGM is leveraging AI to optimise vessel routeing, reduce energy consumption, improve ship loading processes, enhance volume forecasting, and accelerate operational decision-making.
