TOWN OF GRAFTON — Well over 100 people showed up to this month’s Grafton Town Board meeting to express concern about a sober living facility that was in the process of moving into a home on Lake Shore Drive. The issue, many said, was not the nature of the business, but the fact it was a business of any kind.
Were it not for a resident who happened to talk to a driver delivering 11 beds to the home, town officials would have absolutely no idea that The Forest Sober Living was planning to open a facility in the home at 598 Lake Shore Road.
Town Chairman Lester Bartel confirmed that the company, who leased the property from the home’s owner, gave no notice to the town.
