“A couple of years ago, a film director I admire deeply piqued my interest in artisanal watchmaking,” said Chalamet in the press release. “Not the flashy kind, but the kind that demands years of discipline, patience, and ultimately, mastery. I started to see it as a sibling to filmmaking — a precise expression, just on a different scale.” As a part of his role as creative advisor (in addition to his minority stake in the company), Chalamet will help with a number of projects and initiatives for a brand that has featured a number of famous actors and artists, as well as avant-garde approaches to press imagry (including Danish furniture and food mixed with watches) and a series called by “Time Well Spent,” shot by famous photographer Ellen von Unwerth.
