**Dozens of agricultural groups expressed concern about the dire economic conditions U.S. farmers face.
In a letter, the groups said America’s farmers and ranchers are facing extreme economic pressures that threaten the long-term viability of the U.S. ag sector.
They added, an alarming number of farmers are financially underwater, farm bankruptcies are climbing, and many farmers have difficulty securing financing to grow their next crop.
The American Farm Bureau Federation organized the letter.
