Farmingdale business owners are encouraging customers to shop small this holiday season.
The village is highlighting its small businesses through Dec. 31.
Officials say shopping small can create jobs, boost the local economy and support neighbors.
“Whether it’s a retail, or a bar, or restaurant or service, it’s just really important to keep our money locally because we help the families and the organizations,” says Kim Poulos Lieberz, of KGI Design Group.
Farmingdale will also host its annual holiday parade on Saturday. It starts at noon at Northside Elementary School.
