GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. — The Right Place economic development organization hosted its annual Economic Outlook forum Thursday morning at the JW Marriott in downtown Grand Rapids.
They gave presentations and projections for the regional, state and national economies in 2026. Fifth Third Bank managing director and chief economist Jeff Korzenik delivered the national forecast, W.E. Upjohn Institute President Michael Horrigan gave the state forecast, and Right Place President Randy Thelen provided the regional economic forecast.
Andria Romkema is the senior vice president of Business Development at The Right Place. She told WOOD Radio that the economists are confident now that businesses will be making more capital expenditures and doing more hiring.
