Once again, the business of a Tractor Supply Company (TSC) development came before the Derby Planning Commission for action at its July 17 meeting — this time with less fanfare.
In May, both the commission and Derby City Council considered a zone change (as well as an exception and special use) for the proposed TSC location just west of the Meadowlark/Rock Road intersection. At both meetings, neighboring homeowners spoke out against the planned development, raising multiple concerns about impacts on traffic, home values, etc.
During its July 17 meeting, the planning commission considered a site plan for the Derby TSC store that it ultimately approved — subject to staff comments and discussion. No public comments were made on the item.
