The House-passed bill is now being considered by the U.S. Senate

On May 22, 2025, the House passed the One Big, Beautiful Bill Act (H.R. 1) and sent it to the Senate, which is now deliberating the various provisions, including the tax measures. There’s agreement about some provisions and disagreement about others. While the Senate works through the bill, small business owners might want to begin thinking about the House-passed provisions and how these would affect them…if enacted.
