Labour leader Keir Starmer is expected to announce changes to his £28 billion ($35 billion) green investment pledge, after weeks of internal wrangling over whether to roll back the costly flagship policy.
Starmer will confirm his party is no longer planning to spend £28 billion a year on environmental jobs and industries, The Guardian newspaper reported late Wednesday. A Labour spokesperson confirmed to Bloomberg the party would be making an announcement Thursday but declined to comment on the content.
